Philippians 4:4-9

Our Church has recently been going through First Corinthians, and Paul uses some strong warnings in chapter five and six, to address some serious issues of sin that were destroying the church community of Corinth.   He warns them to avoid sins even listing several examples of sins in verse 9 & 10.  Paul also tells them that they should remember they too were caught in the same sins before coming into the love and power of Christ  (see 1 Corinthians 6:7-20).  The point Paul is trying to make is that when we become believers in Christ, as a part of God’s family we are now responsible to try to live in godly ways with one another.  We are responsible to God, and to those with whom we are living our daily lives.
