Abraham believed in God’s power to preserve or bring back the hope and promise of his son Isaac from the dead. Abraham was free to trust God, because of his deep faith. We who follow Christ hold to the resurrection hope found through Jesus overcoming the death of the cross on Easter Sunday.
What does the hope of the resurrection do for our lives as Christ followers? How does knowing our eternal destiny truly affect us?
Abraham could go with his son to the mountain knowing God had a plan to save or restore Isaac.
Paul preached hope to people who often chased him out of town or tried to kill him. Yet, as we read in Philippians 1:21. We see Paul’s hope was in the resurrection. He would continue to proclaim hope in Jesus. However, if he was killed he knew his future hope was a new body in the presence of God.
All believers and followers of Christ have this same hope. We can know God’s blessings now, and rest in the assurance of the eternal hope given through Jesus Christ’s resurrection.
– Be blessed on your journey with Jesus
